GRAHAM Launches the Chronofighter 1695 Silver

A Tribute to George
A watch for Gentlemen. GRAHAM's passion for refined details usually leads to admirable creations. But the genius of watch making science lies in its ability to create simple timepieces from the most complicated mechanism. GRAHAM has developed a graceful unique chronograph which brings its fundamental watch making developments and British touch of style together. Let's discover the craftsmanship of GRAHAM's legacy.
GRAHAM made its new Chronofighter 1695 a timeless watch making instrument. An automatic 42 mm chronograph powered by a sophisticated Swiss movement. The minutes counter is placed at 6 o'clock and the date at 3 o'clock, a distinctive GRAHAM disposition. In keeping with Gentlemen's taste for style, we have also chosen to crown the watch with a silver (925) case. The silver (925) case back is elaborately hand-engraved with the Greenwich Royal Observatory as a tribute to the early life of George Graham, the official watchmaker of this important British Institution. The case back also features a sapphire aperture on the balance wheel and the escapement. An homage to "Honest George", the father of the chronograph and creator of simplified escapements which are the ancestor of the Swiss modern escapement. Elegant and distinctive.

Skywatch Carbon Fiber Chronograph

Gentleman, Welcome back to ChronoCommentary.

The team at Skywatch was kind enough to send me one of their amazing watches to check out, try on, poke around and review for you. At a glance, it looks like everything I had been hoping for in fashionable dive watch. I came across Skywatch nearly a year ago and had been going back and fourth on if I was going to purchase on or not. Don't get me wrong, the price on these is great! Starting at $295 for the three hand models and $395 for the chronographs isn't bad at all.

So below are photos that I took (thanks iPhone) and a press release that Skywatch sent to me. I hope that you find this useful, and I will have a video review for you guys by the end of the weekend.

Skywatch timepieces are from brand and marketing architect Gabriel Ibarra, who commissioned a product designer from Geneva to realize his vision for the line. The Skywatch timepiece line is Swiss made from Ronda Swiss‐made movements, Italian sailcloth straps and Super LumiNova photo luminescent graphics.

Skywatch is a serious watch that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Most dive watches aren’t worn in water deeper than the kitchen sink. Skywatch timepieces are water‐ resistant to 100M: ready‐to‐wear for the local dive bar or stage diving at Coachella.

Our brand ambassadors are people at the top of their game — from the young entrepreneur who just sold his company for eight figures, the talent agent who started in the mailroom, to the up‐and‐coming in‐demand cinematographer.

We support charitable causes, raising funds for charities like The Trevor Project, Stuart House, the Boys and Girls Club of America and schools across the

country. Skywatch wants to improve the lives of children. For us, a successful company starts with raising the quality of life.

We’ve come through the most trying economy in 100 years and are stronger for it. Skywatch is a part of the solution, employing people and tirelessly investing in what we believe. By discovering and supporting Skywatch, you’re part of the making of a remarkable brand and company.

Until next time,

Brent Garcia

Suunto Core-Chapter 1: what the hell it does

Well Gentelmen,

Here it is, Part one of the Suunto Core Saga.

I will post another video in the next few days...
A few things that I will point out right now: The crystal does have a bit of glare, and is a little difficult to read in direct sunlight. It's not terrible, but it is noticeable. The back light isn't very bright, but it is readable.
When I took this Jeeping, I had to stop at the "Welcome To" sign to set the current altitude so that the altimeter worked properly.
Past these minor inconveniences... the watch performs flawlessly! I love mine and if you know the tech side of it that you have to deal with, it will be a great watch for you. We camp, hike, fish, Jeep, and backpack in pretty rugged country every summer, and this watch has been a great addition. If you're just looking for something big for under $300... get a Diesel, Nixon, or Fossil. If you spend any time outdoors, you wont regret the purchase. I mentioned that the storm alarm goes off A LOT... but it truly gives good warning. Use your judgment. If it looks like its getting bad, it probably is. It is great for fly fishing! When the pressure drops, the fish are more active on the surface...... Just saying.

Well guys,
